Last night I wrote about the accusation that the Israelis “double tap” Palestinian rescue workers, meaning the IDF attacks a target, waits until first responders show up, and then kill them. The night before, I wrote about the phony accusation that an Israeli army officer gave a drink of water to an elderly Palestinian woman and then shot her in the head. An Israeli pointed out something that’s so obvious that I overlooked it: These claims are being made by people who commit such atrocities themselves. It’s textbook projection.

Here’s what someone said to me on Twitter today.

Okay. Where are the photos of Israelis giving the Nazi salute? I can find lots of images of Muslim terrorists doing it.

How about Article Seven of the Hamas charter?

Hamas has been looking forward to implement Allah’s promise whatever time it might take. The prophet, prayer and peace be upon him, said: The time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!

Sound familiar?

And we say that the war will not end as the Jews imagine it will, namely with the uprooting of the Aryans, but the result of this war will be the complete annihilation of the Jews.

Now we’ll talk about “double tapping.” Despite all the cellphone cameras, not a single Palestinian has ever filmed an Israeli double tap of first responders. On the other hand, videos of Muslim double taps are quite common.

Here’s the second suicide bomber, dressed in a virginal white shroud in preparation for his trip to paradise and the eternal orgy with transparent houris who don’t have to defecate.

What about the accusation of Israeli summary executions, or “field executions,” as was claimed in the bogus story of the thirsty old woman? Well, again, where are the photos? Where are the videos? Do a YouTube search for other executions, and look what you find.

In the list of Palestinian executions, we have two bogus Israeli “executions.” The first is this one.

In reality Mahmoud Salah was a suicide bomber of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade. The cops shot him because he persisted in rubbing his chest on the pavement, trying to flick the detonation switch of his bomb.

The other video shows no evidence whatsoever of an execution by an Israeli undercover unit.

We have no idea what happened. If it was an undercover unit, why were they driving around in olive-drab military vehicles with big Stars of David on the sides? Why is so much of the audio deleted?

If you’re going to allege “field executions,” you need to provide unambiguous footage of Israelis shooting people in the head.

This piece of video is a perfect example of how uniformed even the “experts” are.

Endless blather about what kind of weapon the Israeli soldier has and how many times he fired.

It’s a shotgun.

And he didn’t fire at all. He’s just reloading it with two bean-bag rounds, shoving them into the magazine loading port on the underside of the weapon. It took me five minutes to figure that out. Tonight I looked at twenty Websites run by people still scratching their heads over what the footage shows. I’m stunned. Some of them are gun maniacs.

One thing we know for sure: The video doesn’t show an execution.

Where are the completely straightforward, out-and-out murder videos, in which Israelis line people up, mow them down, and then grin at the camera? I mean, if Israel is the new Third Reich and all, shouldn’t we be inundated with video of IDF troops massacring people every other day of the week? Palestinians film every Israeli military action.

“Indiscriminate bombing?” The Israelis don’t do that. During Operation Protective Edge, about 1.8 percent of Gazan housing units were destroyed or damaged. Remember: The terrorists set off over 1000 massive improvised explosive devices, and 875 terrorist rockets fell in Gaza.

This is indiscriminate bombing.

Anna Freud—the youngest of Sigmund’s six children—became a psychoanalyst herself. She called projection “displacement outward.”

It involves the tendency to see your own unacceptable desires in other people. In other words, the desires are still there, but they are not one’s own desires anymore.

A significant percentage of those accusing Israel of war crimes and atrocities are the ones who commit these acts. The columnist Victor Davis Hanson talks about the “therapeutic view of geopolitics.” In this form of delusion, all conflict arises from misunderstandings. We all want the same things: peace, freedom, the right to determine our own destiny, religious tolerance, etc. If we can just find the right words, everyone will get along fine.

“Your actions are hurting me, Mr. Islamic State. I know you’re not aware of that, so I’m reaching out to you now. To dialog.”

What too many people refuse to accept is that those who commit atrocities and war crimes enjoy it. They get off on murder. It’s not a case of misunderstanding at all. They’re utterly negative, implacably destructive creatures who need to be exterminated.

They’re also liars. By projecting and displacing outward, they can pretend that they aren’t the scum of the earth. They’re not even fooling themselves. Just take a look at their faces.

Hell internalized.
